MEZE
MEZE
MEZE
(OVERVIEW)
Bringing a modern and expressive identity to a culturally rooted food concept. I approached this project with the goal of creating a brand that feels both contemporary and authentic, drawing inspiration from Turkish cuisine and meze culture. The focus was on building a visually engaging identity that translates across packaging, menu design, and digital touchpoints.
Rather than leaning into traditional visuals, I reinterpreted them. The design balances bold typography, playful elements, and cultural references to create a brand that feels fresh, recognizable, and adaptable

THE CHALLENGE
THE CHALLENGE
The challenge was creating a brand that feels culturally rooted while still appearing modern and relevant. The design needed to respect traditional influences without feeling outdated or overly literal.

We are Meze, a modern take on Turkish dining built around sharing, flavor, and experience. Inspired by traditional small plates, we bring people together through bold dishes, rich culture, and a more social way of eating.

BRAND SYSTEM
The Meze brand system was designed to extend across key physical touchpoints, including packaging, in-store elements, and staff apparel. Each application maintains the brand’s bold and expressive identity while adapting to its specific context. From hummus packaging to storefront signage and chef apparel, the identity translates consistently across different formats, creating a recognizable and cohesive brand experience.

REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Meze pushed me to figure out how far I could take a brand without losing control of it. With bold typography, bright colors, and playful elements, it was easy for the identity to become overwhelming. The challenge was keeping everything expressive while still feeling cohesive across packaging, the storefront, and apparel.
Working on physical applications like the hummus jars and chef jacket also made me think more about how a brand actually shows up in real life, not just on screen.
